Smoothie Recipes That Fight Inflammation


Acute Inflammation is a normal & natural response to injury and infection in the body. However, most of us are actually suffering from chronic inflammation which can cause a whole mess of problems with the body. Fortunately, diet can help control these symptoms, and what better way to do so than with a smoothie! We've put together our favorite recipes to help you fight inflammation & manage symptoms.

Ginger & Tumeric Smoothie

Tumeric & ginger have strong anti-inflammatory properties to help calm the body down and aid in managing symptoms of inflammation. When using fresh turmeric be mindful as it WILL stain anything white!


Here is what you need:

  • 1 large ripe banana

  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple

  • 1/2 Tbsp of peeled fresh ginger (this will be a small knob)

  • 1/4 tsp of ground tumeric

  • Ice

  • 1/2 of a fresh lemon (juiced)

  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

How to make it:

  • Add all ingredients to the blender and blend on high till smooth & creamy. If it has trouble blending add more almond milk.

  • Taste & adjust the flavors to your liking. If you want it a little sweeter add more bananas.

  • Serve fresh this recipe yields 2 smoothies!


Apple Avocado Smoothie

Not only does this smoothie help fight inflammation but it helps with managing pain in the joints!


Here is what you need:

  • 2 Handfuls of spinach (or kale)

  • 1/4 cup of avocado

  • 1 green apple

  • Ice

  • 1/3 cup of raspberries

  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric

  • 1tbsp of hemp seeds

  • 1/2 cup of parsley

  • 1/3 cup of blueberries

How to make it:

  • Mix all the ingredients in the blender on high until the smoothie is creamy

  • Taste & adjust the flavors to your liking!


24 Carrot Gold Smoothie

This creamy smoothie is naturally sweet with a spicy tang! Be sure to freeze your bananas to get that creamy thick consistency.


What you need:

  • 3/4 of a frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt

  • 1 pinch of black pepper

  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1 tbsp of peeled & grated fresh tumeric

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk

  • 1 tbsp of hemp seeds

How to make it:

  • Mix all the ingredients in the blender on high until the smoothie is creamy

  • Taste & adjust the flavors to your liking!
